Founded in 2020 by Neeraja Bhavaraju and Alexandra Geertz, Afton Bloom exists to advance gender and racial equity. 

As a woman-owned business, supporting women with dreams is central to who we are. That's why Afton Bloom is named for the founders' maternal grandmothers. Afton is the street that Alexandra's grandmother lived on, and Bloom is short for Bloomingdales, the store that Neeraja's grandmother read about in her Danielle Steel novels and dreamed of visiting from India (she eventually did!). Their grandmothers continue to inspire our growing team to be tenacious, bold, and forward-thinking every day.
